125 researchers, decision makers and educators met at Uppsala University to debate and produce recommendations for learning and education for sustainable development in Sweden and internationally. The results of the meeting in Uppsala "ESD - Call for Action" was to be presented to Swedish politicians in August at Rosenbad. There, Sweden's recommendations are to be established before the world conference on education for sustainable development in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan in November 2014. SWEDESD at Uppsala University works on behalf of the government to support education for sustainable development in formal and informal education, both in Sweden and abroad.
